Neon Day- JRSO

On Friday Kirsten and Ellie organised a super NEON day for us all to highlight the importance of road safety. As well as us coming to school in neon/bright clothing, the girls also organised a school competition.

Well done to all our winners. Our Class 1 winners were Shiloh and Daisy. Our Class 2 winners were Donald and Katie.

Well done everyone. It was a great day.

Class 1- Excellent Environmental Posters

Class 1 used the Pic Collage app earlier this week to create some eye-catching and informative posters. Our aim was to encourage others to consider ways that they can look after our local environment and respect the living things which grow and live there. Some of us even added animation to our posters! Come and take a look…

Outdoor Art

Class 2 enjoyed a change to the timetable today. As the weather was so nice we thought we better make the most of it. We all enjoyed drawing, painting and using natural resources to make pictures.

Sun Cream Reminder

Just a reminder to please apply suncream before school and bring a sun hat ( if possible/required). We want to enjoy the good weather as much as possible while we have it.

Sun cream can also be taken in school bags for children to apply throughout the day.

Green-fingered Class 1

We’re at it again! So far Class 1 have planted broad beans, sunflowers and sweet peas. Today we helped to sow more beans and tomato seeds, whilst also tending to the other plants around the school grounds that needed watering.

We are currently working on posters about looking after our school environment and sharing tips on how people could do this. Stay tuned!

Neon Day – Friday 17th May

jrso

The JRSO group are running a competition in school to write an acrostic poem relating to JRSO and road safety.  Some of the children have been busy in school already, deciding on what their acrostic might say.

As a way of encouraging people to dress safely, especially in the evenings, the girls have decided to have a ‘Neon day’.  Children can come (if they wish)  to school in bright clothing of their choice on Friday 17th May.

On Friday we will host an assembly to discuss road safety as well as announcing the winners of the competition.  All entries must be in by Friday 17th May.

Good luck everyone!
