Due to the amazing number of children taking part in the competition this year we are unable to give everyone a tracksuit and short and tshirt set. Therfore, these have been issued to Class 2 ( due to sizings of sets).
Any children from Class 1 attending are free to wear a tracksuit and short and tshirt set of their own choice.
We are hoping for dry weather on Wednesday but expect it to be chilly as the children wait for their race.
***Please ensure all children have a suitable jacket and, if required, hat. All children will require a packed lunch, water bottle and a substantial snack to keep them going. ***
The Children will be accompanied by Mrs Mackinnon, Mrs Rennie ( ASN) and myself ( Mrs B) .
A big thank you to Mark who came in today to talk about his job as a Submersible Engineer. We helped him to work out some real life problems and debated which of our solutions was the best one and why.
Mark even showed us some video footage captured by ROVs (remotely operated vehicles) that he has worked on. After today’s visit and our first talk by Mr Elder on Friday, Class 1 are ready to put their engineering knowledge to good use. Bring on the Engineering Leaders Award!
The Active Schools Co-ordinator for our area is organising a multi-sports camp for P1-3 and P4-7 pupils during the Easter holidays. Please follow the link below for information and to book a place.

A big thank you to Mr Elder who came in to talk to Class 1 this morning about the world of engineering. We’ve already started thinking about problems we’d like to solve. Combined with our flood barrier experiments, teaching Class 2 how to make ice cream in a bag and Red Nose Day, I think it’s safe to say that Class 1 have had a fantastic Friday 🙂
We are experiencing issues with the school computers today therefore we have no internet and no access to emails.
If you need to contact the school please do so by phone until further notice.
