New Club Starting in Inverness

Want to learn more about the wildlife around you? Love the outdoors? Want to meet other like-minded young people?

Come along to Inverness Wildlife Watch Club!
Our next meeting is Monday 30th April at Millburn Academy, 6.30-8.00 pm.

This month we’re looking for signs of Spring and doing some real scientific research into the creatures who pollinate our food!

Important Information

  • Tempest Photographs- The photographer will be in school on Friday 1st June to take CLASS photos this year.
  • Morning attendance/ Late arrivals- Please could you contact the office at the earliest convenience to let Mrs Anderson know if your child is going to be off school or late in the morning. The office is manned from 8.30 each morning. Alternatively, you may wish to leave a message on the school answer machine. Children arriving later than 9.25 should be supplied with a packed lunch for that day as school lunches are required to be called in before this time.
  • We are currently looking for 2 tonnes of top soil for our digging hole. If any parents have any lying around we would be most grateful.
  • 10 days to go until our Daviot Playground Tidy!!!

Team Daviot Playground Day

Less than 2 weeks to go until our big spring clean in the playground. We wish to welcome anyone who is free on Friday 4th May to come in and lend a hand. There will be plenty to do.

We are also looking for donations of:

– Outdoor paint

– Compost and plants

– Old pots and pans

– Any other relevant materials

Here are some of the ideas we have put together so far.

Wouldn’t it be great to see these in our playground??

Fun Friday

It was a lovely afternoon today so we took our learning outside. This afternoon the P6s enjoyed some training at Millburn to become Playground Leaders.

The rest of the school enjoyed playing What’s the Time Mr Wolf (in French), 10 Second Object and Someone Moved. Thank you to Miss Costa for coordinating the games. It was great fun!

P6 Play Leaders Training

Just a quick reminder that P6 will be going to Millburn Academy tomorrow (Friday 20th April) for Play Leaders training. Please could all children bring in a packed lunch, a water bottle and comfortable shoes as they will be participating in practical, sporting activities. Please also note that there is a change in the timings, and children will now be back at school for the normal finishing time of 3pm.

If you have any queries, please get in touch. Many thanks!
