Sports Day Tomorrow

We look forward to welcoming everyone to Daviot Primary for our school sports tomorrow. We aim to kick off at 1.30. The weather and field conditions are good so hopefully, it will remain dry.

All children should come to school in their normal school uniforms. Children should ensure they have suitable PE kit in their bags, comfortable outdoor trainers and a water bottle.

If the weather does change overnight/ tomorrow I will post on the blog ASAP. Keep your eyes peeled.

P4 Transition Stars

P4 joined Class 2 today for an afternoon of design technology and digital learning . The class worked in groups to create a ‘Sphero Town’. They had to think about the width of the sphero when planning their roads and town layout. Lots of super team work.

P4s even had a chance to play around with the sphero. It wasn’t as easy as it looked.

We look forward finishing and driving the sphero through our towns next Wednesday.

Picnic Lunch Tomorrow

Quick reminder to say it is picnic lunch tomorrow (12-12.30)Β  No other food choice is available.

This year the theme is Hawaiian. Children may bring in any hawaiian themed clothing/accessories to wear.

Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for some photos.

Class 1- Busy Topic Afternoon

This afternoon, Class 1 looked at some new, unusual flowers and then did some beautifully detailed observational drawings. We also planted some watercress seeds in the hopes of making our own cress heads…we’ll share some photos when they start to germinate πŸ˜‰ At the end of the day, we were challenged to order ourselves from the shortest broad bean to the tallest- quite a challenge as they’ve all grown so well! These beans have now been taken home.
