Please can I strongly encourage you to complete the survey via the link below by tomorrow, Wednesday 27th November.
The link below allows you to access the parent survey regarding your views about the future of the allocation of ASN resources.
For example, one suggestion is that ASN teacher and PSA hours would be allocated to the ASG instead of individual schools, based on their individual needs. That is, the hours would be shared between Millburn Academy, Milton of Leys Primary, Inshes Primary, Drakies Primary, Crown Primary, Raigmore Primary as well as Daviot and Strathdearn Primaries.
Better still, if you are able to attend the meeting being held at Millburn Academy tomorrow evening from 6pm to put your views directly to the ASN project team. It is my intention to attend the teachers and HTs session at 4pm.
If your child receives additional support at school on any level, can I please ask you to help me gather your child’s views about the support they receive at school, or would like to receive. It is so important that the voice of our young people is heard too. Please email the school with any views/feedback from your child by Friday 29th November.
This is your chance to voice your views, concerns and ideas about what you want Additional Needs support to look like in your child’s school in the future, regardless of whether or not they have a support need at this time.
Please make sure you have your say. We are already feeling the impact of four different ASN teachers over the last two and a half years at Daviot Primary, through no fault of our own nor of the ASN staff. I cannot guarantee that there will not be further reduction to PSA hours in the future.
Thank you in advance for your time. I am happy to explore this issue further with parents in the future if sufficient interest is shown.
