Sheila’s Afternoon Tea

On Friday afternoon we celebrated Sheila’s time with us as at Daviot Primary. She will leave Daviot on Thursday to start her retirement.

Everyone at Daviot would like to thank Sheila for all her hard work and wish her the all the best as she starts her retirement .

We were spoilt rotten yesterday as Sheila took in some home baking for us all. The cakes were delicious.

Sheila loved all her cards and gifts and was overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity. She has asked me to thank everyone, especially the Parent Council, for their kind gift.

We will all miss Sheila but look forward to her popping into school to visit us.

Lunch Money

ALL lunch money must be paid on Monday.

This includes any outstanding balance and payment in advance for any lunches for the remainder of the week. This includes any P4-7 who have requested  Grab n Go on Thursday.

Sheila will be banking on Monday only!

Many thanks

Enterprise movie

The film to be shown as part of Class 2 enterprise afternoon will be Ralph Breaks the Internet. The film has a U certificate and is suitable for all.

Please remember it is £1 admission for the film.  The film will finish around 4.30pm.

Moving up- Class 1

Class 1 had a very busy, active day today as we welcomed back our future P1 pupils.

In the morning, we made individual puzzle pieces to show how we are all different but all fit together perfectly as our Class 1 team.

After break, we spent time exploring different resources and played maths and outdoor games.

In the afternoon, we shared a book called ‘I have the right to be a child’ and talked about what this means. After that, we did some painting which will be used to create a special display.

It was lovely to see everyone working and playing together so nicely. Well done all, I hope you had a wonderful Wednesday!

Moving up- Class 2

Class 2 welcomed in our new P5 pupils into the classroom today whilst the P7 pupils were at Millburn. We started by sharing positive comments about one another, looked at rights and responsibilities  and created our new class charter.

This afternoon we continued with our Sphero town and played some team games in the sunshine.

It was a super day and I am already looking forward to August.
