This week the 5 Star Gold Award was presented to Katie and Daisy.
Daisy was given her award for her independent written work about her Ice Prison.
Katie was given her award for using her literacy skills ( VCOP) to write an amazing monster description.
Well done girls- Super Work!
A quick reminder that Scott will be at school tomorrow morning (Thursday 22nd). Please return any outstanding library books- many thanks.
To celebrate Scottish Book Week, we are inviting the children to come to school in their PJs for the day. They can also bring in a book from home that links to the theme of ‘REBELS’.
Any pupils who do not wish to take part may come in their normal uniform- it is completely their choice.
Please ensure that suitable footwear and jackets are brought in as the children will still be outdoors at break and lunch.
Class 1 were extremely lucky this afternoon as they had a special visit from the Edinburgh String Quartet. Tijmen, Tom, Cathy and Mark played us some beautiful music and took the time to explain which part of the world each piece came from. They also told us about their instruments, answered questions and let us share our thoughts and feelings. Thank you so much, it was lovely to have you and we hope you enjoy your time in the Highlands!
In the morning, Class 1 enjoyed yet another fun filled Kodaly session with Rosalind. We even played a game with our teddies! A lot of us also earned certificates for our progress on the reading app ‘Teach Your Monster to Read’. What a terrific Tuesday 👏🏻😊
Class 1 had a lovely time this afternoon during their teddy bear’s picnic. We worked together to prepare all the food and made an indoor den so that the picnic felt extra cosy. We loved meeting each other’s teddies and toys too! A super choice as our class treat.
