Class 1 Bear Obstacle Course

Our current focus within the topic ‘Superheroes’ is ‘keeping healthy’. Today Class 1 spent the afternoon thinking about different types of exercise and how to work out specific parts of our body. We wanted to create a training course in the playground, but the weather wasn’t on our side. So instead, we used a variety of construction materials to create our own obstacle courses for our little compare bears. Class 1 did a brilliant job of creating imaginative courses and explaining how it helped the fitness of their bear.

Class 1 Digital Morning

Whilst Class 2 were away, Class 1 did play…with technology! This morning, we used iPads to practise our fast number bond facts, then after break we used Google Keep on the Chromebooks to help us with our letter formation and phonics tasks. Class 1 like using the Chromebooks and are becoming more confident in using them to enhance learning.

Oakwood Cook School

Wow! What can I say? The children had an amazing time at Oakwood Cook School today. We began by making our Orea Cheesecake, followed by an Indian Curry.

The children were an absolute credit to the school with super listening and behaviour throughout.

The children are now looking forward to cooking up a storm at home in the kitchen!
