A massive thank you to everyone who has helped with the Vintage Tractor Rally. We could not have asked for a better day… well, maybe less wind!
I am delighted to say that a total of…
Was raised on the stall today. We could not have achieved this without the support from all our fabulous children, parents and staff.
A massive thank you to everyone!!!

Thank you to everyone who has helped with organising and preparing for the rally on Saturday.
Could I ask that any homebaking for the rally is in for Friday afternoon. All baking should be bagged and labelled with a price. If this is a problem, please let me know (Mrs Beattie).
The rally begins at 10am for public viewing. Mrs Pirie, Susan and myself will be there from 9am to set up. Children are free and it is £10 per adult at the gate. I have been given a pass and will leave a message at the gate with names of those adults who got back to me with their time preference (I will post this tomorrow as it’s at school).
The rally finishes for the public at 4pm, so I hope to have a grand total by late Saturday evening.
We are all really excited to be taking part this year and look forward to seeing you on the day if you can make it.
The children had a great time this morning using Tinkercad to create a 3D model. The children then voted on their top 3 designs. These 3 will be printed out to create 3D models. I can’t wait to see them!
In the afternoon the children used code to make a music loop. They had to add bass drums and melody. It was super to see and hear their creativity.
Next Wednesday we are off to explore our creativity through cooking at Oakwood Cook School.
Class 1 have really been enjoying ‘Supertato’, our current book of the week. We have carried out a range of activities so far, including: ordering story events, planning a new start to the story, making characters out of playdough and creating our own Supertatoes! A big thank you to Sheila for providing us with some of her own super tatties… they look a little bit different now!
Just a reminder that Class 2 are out all day tomorrow at SDS (Skills Development Scotland). We will be doing 2 sessions – 3D printing and digital beats.
Children will need to bring snack, a water bottle and packed lunch.
Headphones will be used during the session. Any child wishing to bring their own may do so.
We will be back at school for the end of the day.
