Creating our cartoon selfies on Google drawings today. These characters will be our travel guides throughout our topic. It was great to all learn together!
The latest Daviot Newsletter will go home today. The oldest and only child from the family will be responsible for passing this on.
Have a lovely weekend!
Delighted to share with everyone that we have now received our new tops and shorts. These will be worn out to all sporting events.
Thanks again to our sponsors JOM Haulage Ltd. We are delighted and very grateful for your support.
Just a small note to mention that Class 1 have been asked to return their homework folders by Monday. On Tuesdays, new homework will be issued. More details will follow in the coming weeks, but if you have any specific queries please get in touch.
WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR A PARENT HELPER FOR TOMORROW.
Please get in touch if you can help.
All children attending will be collected from school and walked to the hall for 3.15pm. All parents should collect their children from the village hall after the class.
Class 1 were treated to a matinee show today! Skye and Semaiah had their friends in fits of laughter as they performed their original story of ‘The Animals and the Princess’. The girls started preparing earlier in the week, choosing their characters and making tickets. Well done you two, and well done to all the children who took it upon themselves to help with making props and decorations.
Class 2 enjoyed an afternoon of baking shortbread today. Through our topic ‘Around the World’, we will be looking at food, textiles and important landmarks from different countries.
We are hoping to bake/cook some other dishes from around the world.
Tomorrow we will be writing the recipe. Keep your eyes peeled if you fancy trying this at home!
Thank you to everyone who responded to taking part in the Blas festival on Saturday 15th September. Due to the low number of children available to attend the event we will, unfortunately, not be able to take part.
I believe there are still tickets available for the event if you wish to enjoy the festival as a family.
