Playground Tidy Tomorrow

The plan for tomorrow is as follows-

  • We plan to be outside in the playground from around 11am. Children should come to school in school sweatshirts and a pair of trousers. We expect to get dirty, so old clothing is preferred. The children will be out most of the day so will need warm clothing and suitable footwear. Gloves would also be a bonus.
  • During the lunch hour 12-1pm, the children will be inside and then at the park.  This will allow any sawing/ dangerous tasks to be carried out safely without the children.
  • All parents are welcome to bring and contribute whatever they may have in their own garden sheds- brushes, rakes etc, but we would ask that these remain in cars until required. This will also save them being misplaced or lost.
  • The children will be dismissed at the normal time of 3pm.

As always, thank you so much for your support and we look forward to seeing anyone who can make it along tomorrow.

Class 1- Bricks and Blocks

Yesterday afternoon, Class 1 had a fantastic session led by Generation Science. Our theme was ‘Bricks and Blocks’. We discussed and explored the world of programming: what robots are, which robots we use in our everyday life, why they’re useful and why it’s so important to give clear instructions in the right order!

The children worked in pairs to construct and program Lego WeDo goalkeepers. Everyone learnt so much about creating computer programs, and for those who experienced Generation Science last year their knowledge was consolidated and extended.

It’s safe to say…Class 1 love robots!
