Lots of the pupils in Class 1 were thrilled to have Mr Josie back with them! They had a wonderful music session today, and are looking forward to their next one already!

Maths games
As part of ‘Maths Week’ last week, Class 2 worked hard to design and create some stimulating games. They thought very carefully about the aspects of their games, such as the theme, the layout, the rules, and most importantly: the audience! Class 1 really enjoyed themselves. Thank you so much Class 2… we loved playing the games with you and they will really help us to develop our maths skills!
OUR NEW BLOG
As you may have been aware our current blog was very large. As well as this, our subscription charge for the blog is set to increase in January. Therefore, we have made the decision to start a new blog this session instead of waiting until our subscription expires. The existing blog will be archived and all the data will remain on the page. This data can still be accessed however we will not be adding to it.
The new blog will operate exactly the same way as the existing one with the addition of 2 class blogs. These blogs will be used to showcase the learning in each individual classroom. The main blog will be used to showcase whole school events, information and other details that benefit the whole school/wider community.
The new blog can be accessed at the address below. We would ask that you sign up to the email option to receive notifications of any posts.
Our New Blog – https://daviotschool.wordpress.com
Please feel free to get in touch with any suggestions or items you would like to see on our new blog. We will begin using the new blog from Monday 25th September.
We look forward to hearing from you

Afternoon Tea Delights
WOW! What can I say – A massive thank you to everyone for their contribution to our event this afternoon.
The baking and cakes were delicious; the turnout of parents, grandparents and other family relatives was amazing and the pupils themselves did a wonderful job of serving and entertaining you all.
Well done everyone – A fantastic team effort from all!
Fire Drill
A massive well done to all the boys and girls today for leaving the building quietly, sensibly and very, very quickly during our planned fire drill this morning.
Brian even said we were his quickest school – Well done everyone!
