This week is Guide Dogs Week, and I would really love to do something in school to support this incredible charity. So, on Friday, I am planning to do a sponsored danceathon with the pupils. For a small donation, the children will be invited to come to school in non-uniform (or even party clothes if they would like). I will then challenge the class to dance non-stop for an hour (obviously, our youngest children will be allowed breaks). Over the course of the next few days, I would love it if you could help the children to collect some sponsorship money. Even a small amount would be a tremendous help.
Our target is £50 – which could buy an ‘Off to School’ kit for a puppy moving into their first stage of training.
Zeb, the guide dog Daviot Primary sponsored last year, is doing brilliantly – and it would be fantastic if we could help another puppy this year.
Next term, I am hoping the school will receive a visit from the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association. I think they will be bringing a guide dog along with them. I can’t wait!
