Every Friday, during our whole school assembly, I will be giving one pupil Team Daviot’s top honour – the Five Star Gold Award. This week, Amica was a very worthy winner. I can’t believe she is still only four years old. In fact, I think she might be a P4 in disguise! Amica has settled into school so quickly, and she has produced some lovely work for Mrs MacPherson. What’s more, her smile lights up every room. Well Done, Amica. I am so proud of you – and I know Josh is too! I wish you were in P4, so I could teach you every day!
Team Daviot welcomed Martin from Gigga-Jam back into school today. I am thrilled to say that our P5s will be joining P7 in the Gigga-Jam group this session. Martin will be with us for the next three weeks, and he will also be back with us later in the year. The pupils are thrilled – and so am I! If you haven’t see it yet, check out what Lauren and Evie did last year: https://daviotprimary.wordpress.com/2016/07/01/gigga-jammers/
During our whole school assembly this morning, we were talking about the importance of friendship. At the end of the session, each pupil was given a ‘Friendship Token’. The children were asked to give their token away to someone who did something kind for them during the morning. After lunch, we counted the tokens, and Holly had collected the most! Well done, Holly. You are such a kind and thoughtful friend.
