Team Daviot had a wonderful time lifting tatties today. The weather was stunning, and the harvest was truly amazing. I must say a massive thank you to Granny Annie and Papa John for inviting us back to their beautiful home. In all honesty, they are one of the loveliest couples I have ever met in my life. I am always stunned by their generosity and hospitality – and I’m not surprised that our pupils never want to leave (because I don’t either!). Thank you, Annie and John; your family are so lucky to have you – and so are we!!!
I was talking to Louise after gymnastics tonight, and she told me that lots of the parents would like the after school sessions to continue – which is great news. As a result, I have booked her for another block of coaching to start next term. We are also discussing the idea of Louise doing a permanent gym club at the hall every week. Obviously, this may require a contribution to her coaching costs. As soon as I have any more information, I will let you know.
I have decided to postpone this Thursday’s Early Reading Workshop, so all parents who would like to attend are able to do so. As soon as I have confirmed a new date, I will post it on the blog. Thanks for your support.
I’m just adding a quick post to remind all parents that pupils will be participating in another heart-healthy sports session with Caley Thistle on Friday. Pupils will also have PE tomorrow as normal.
Tomorrow morning, pupils will be lifting the tatties they planted earlier in the year. Please ensure your child/children come to school with the appropriate footwear and clothing for the task. Thanks
One of the feedback suggestions I received from the school communication questionnaire was to highlight important messages on the blog. Therefore, I have decided to trial a 3 star tagging system. If I want to draw parents’ attention to a particular post, I will put *** at the beginning and end of the post’s title to signify a message alert.
