I was really impressed with the pupils’ javelin throwing skills in PE today. However, Holly really stood out as a potential champion of the future. As motivation, I challenged the children in the picture to try and hit me with their javelins – thinking they didn’t have a chance. Sadly, I was mistaken. Holly’s technique was so good that she hit me square in the chest!! I’m just glad it wasn’t one of the javelins with a sharp point!
I would like to say a huge thank you to Nanny Annie and Papa John for inviting us to their wonderful home today. Everyone had a brilliant time planting potatoes – and we learnt a lot about the growing process too. The sun was shining and the views were spectacular – it really was a fabulous morning. We can’t wait to go back later in the year to see how well our crop has grown. Many thanks again to Annie and John for their hospitality and generosity of spirit.
