Team Daviot Take Silver!

It gives me great pleasure to announce that¬†Daviot Primary scooped silver¬†at the Highland Gymnastics Competition on Sunday. This was a truly remarkable achievement considering over 350 children entered, and we were the smallest school in the event. What’s more, LK smashed her floor routine and walked away with a silver medal for that too! Incredible! Team Daviot are now through to the National Finals in March! Well done, girls. I’m so proud of you! What a weekend!!!

Greatness Again!

What a wonderful evening we had on Friday. Daviot Village Hall was packed! It was lovely to see so many people from the local community braving the snow and ice to see the pupils’ production of Twelfth Night. From the amazing response the children received, it is safe to say the audience felt that their effort had been rewarded. Mesmorising…. Astonishing…. Incredible…. Flawless… are just a few of the superlatives people used to describe the performance – and I couldn’t agree more. A big thank you must go out to our Parent Council for preparing a fabulous spread of home-baking for the audience to enjoy after the play. I would also like to thank the community for their generous donations to the school fund. It was a very special event!
