I’m just adding a quick post to inform all parents that swimming lessons will be restarting on Thursday 8th January. They will continue until Thursday 2nd April. Please ensure your children come to school with the appropriate swimming kit on those days. Thanks.
From January 2015, all children in P1 to P3 classes will be entitled to free school meals. This new government initiative will start the first week back after the Christmas holidays.
For more information, please contact Sheila in the school kitchen.
We are having the school’s Christmas Service at Daviot Church on Friday afternoon. The service is scheduled to begin at 1.30pm, and we anticipate it will finish around 2pm. If you would like to take your children home straight after the service, you are welcome to do so. We look forward to seeing everyone who can attend on Friday. Best wishes, Mr McCallum.
I am just adding a quick post to remind everyone that we are going to the pantomime at Eden Court on Thursday afternoon. The show is ‘scheduled’ to finish around 4pm, so we are asking parents to pick up their children directly from the theatre. Thanks for your support.

Many thanks to all the FODs (Friends of Daviot) who have stepped up – yet again – to organise the event. You are amazing!
The children were doing some wonderful Ceilidh dancing with Mrs Russell in PE this week. Check out the new Video Press feature on our blog.
