Music with Mrs Murray

IMG_1159On Friday, the pupils produced some lovely music with Mrs Murray. First, they wowed me with their beautiful singing voices. After that, they demonstrated some amazing skills with percussion instruments (individually and as a group). The concentration on their faces was amazing to see! Well done, everyone.

Best Young Handler

photoWell done RM for an amazing performance at the the Sutherland Riding Show. Incredibly, he came first in the In-hand section, first in the Ridden section, second in the Working group, and he was named Best Young Handler at the show. An amazing achievement. Well done!

Twelfth Night

CapturespI am pleased to announce that Daviot pupils will be taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival in November. During the festival, we will join three other schools performing a Shakespeare play. Our production will be at Eden Court Theatre on Monday 10th November. Tickets can be purchased from Eden Court or by following this link below.

Casting will take place within the next week, and everyone will have a part to play. Indeed, some pupils may even have two parts! Obviously, we will be doing a lot of work in school on the play, but I would really appreciate it if you could support your children to learn their lines. This should be a really exciting project for Daviot Primary. Thanks, Mr McCallum.
