Daviot Primary received a lovely letter from Lifescan this morning. They have kindly offered to provide us with a gift wrapped basket of Johnson and Johnson products for our stall at the Vintage Rally. Thank you to FE for taking the time to write a letter to Lifescan asking for their support. I am pleased to say letters from other pupils have led to donations from Tesco, HIS and more. Well done everyone.
In geography this week, we were exploring the area around Daviot Primary School. The iPads came in very handy to take photos of the buildings in our locality. The pupils then used this photographic evidence as a reference point for their Art and Design work. I have to say, it was great seeing the pupils access technology inside and outside of the classroom. All the children agree that the new iPads are really helping them learn across the curriculum.
It was glorious weather in Daviot this week, so Mrs Russell taught the pupils hockey at the park. She was joined by two work experience students who had been supporting PE lessons across the Milburn cluster. I was so proud when they said that our pupils were by far the best behaved children out of all the classes they had seen. Go Team Daviot.
The word is spreading… we are the best!!
I am so pleased to annouce that Louise Humphries is coming back to Daviot to do some more specialist gymnastics coaching. The support Louise gave us last year was amazing, and three of our girls ended up having tremendous success at the 2014 Highland Gymnastics competition. We are all thrilled that Daviot will benefit from her expertise this session too. Gymnastics will be on a Tuesday morning (for the next six weeks). Please ensure that your child/children bring in their PE kits for that day. Thanks.
